SponsorZone Xchange

The first thing we want you to know about SponsorZone Xchange is that it is 100% FREE. Totally and completely FREE. All day, every day....FREE. There is no cost to you or the club. All you have to do is carry a card and show it at participating businesses.

This is a new and easy way to raise money to offset synchro costs (such as busses) and to build up funds to increase financial support for our non-synchro skaters.

The Xchange is a continuous fundraising marketplace. Through an agreement with Kenosha-based VigeoMedia, local participating businesses are giving back (like a rebate) a portion of purchases made by anyone displaying a SponsorZone Xchange ID card. There are currently over 80 business sponsors participating with more joining every month!

Our goal is to raise $5,000 by June 30, 2014 through participation in the SponsorZone Xchange program. We realize this sounds very ambitious, but itýs easier than you think if we all participate in this free program. To reach that goal, we would need a minimum of 50% participation (approximately 65 members) to earn an average of $9.61 per month in rebates between now and June 30, 2014. The more people that participate, the lower that monthly average needs to be!

Some examples of participating businesses and their giveback:

  • RecPlex - $10 for birthday parties and recreational sports sign-ups (unfortunately this does not include any on or off ice classes at this time)
  • Marietta's Hair Design - 5% off hair/salon purchases
  • Ruffalo's Hair Studio and Tanning Salon - 6% (includes retail products!)
  • Boucher Ford - $80 per car purchase
  • Honda of Kenosha - $160 per car purchase
  • Brat Stop - 4%
  • El Sarape/La Hacienda Restaurants - 9%
  • Twisted Cuisine - 10%

A full list of participating businesses is attached to this email. However, due to the fact that businesses are added frequently, please refer to the website for the most up-to-date list. Participating businesses are located in Kenosha, Racine and Waukesha counties.

Funds raised through this program will be solely used to provide financial support to our members through reduced fees. For our synchro teams we will use these funds to offset bus fees and other associated fees in the future (practice gear, etc.). For our non-synchro skaters, we are hard at work developing a plan to increase the financial support that the club provides. As always, we encourage you to give us your feedback on how to accomplish this.

At this time funds raised through this program may not be applied directly to a memberýs account. Per IRS regulations the only "fundraising" that can directly offset an individual's fees is SCRIP, which is due to the fact that the rebate provided through SCRIP is not a tax deductible contribution. SponsorZone Xchange is exploring this and we may be able to provide that option in the future.

It's easy to participate!

1. Stop by the front desk at the rink and pick up your card(s). We currently have enough cards for each member to take two, however we can order additional cards if needed.

2. Register your card on the SponsorZone Xchange website at

3. Carry your card with you and show it at participating businesses.

This program is one piece of a larger program that we are developing to reduce costs for our members. We will continue to build the sponsorship program and to develop our other fundraising efforts. This is an easy way to add to the efforts and we hope you will help by participating!
