Fall Swimming starts Tuedsay, September 7, 2021

Join Coaches Sean, Cathy, and Sarah for the MCC Fall Swim Program. We will begin on Tuesday, September 7th. There will be a few training options to choose from, largely based on age. We ask that all swimmers practice as their age as of NEXT summer’s swim season.

Monday through Thursdays:

  •  7 and 8’s: 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM
  • 9 and 10’s: 4:45 PM – 5:45 PM
  • 11 and Ups Time: 5:45 PM – 7:00 PM

There is a 2 day a week program for $225 and a 4 day a week program for $375. *You are free to come to any 2 days during that week. Your 2 days must be done in that week, if you would like to an extra swim there will be a drop-in fee of $10.

Fridays will be Dive/Turn/Finish Clinics that will be $10 drop in with limited slots available.

  • 8 and Unders: 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM
  • 9 and Ups:  4:00 PM – 4:45 PM

On Friday October 15th and November 19th there will be Friday Night Flights. An informal setting which will give the kids an opportunity to race and get times throughout the fall.

There will also be other opportunities for local Fall Swim Meets (mostly at the Soda Center, in September, October, November, and into December). To do so, one must register with USA-Swimming. You may register as UNAT (Unattached). You MUST be registered with USA-Swimming to do meets. IF you don’t wish to swim the meets, there is no need to register with USA-Swimming. There is one meet hosted by Orinda Aquatics, the Jamboree, that swimmers may enter WITHOUT being registered with USA-Swimming.

Fall Swim is the coaches’ favorite season, as we step up the training a bit, and expose interested swimmers to the “Next Level” of swimming. The kids get some fantastic conditioning. With a smaller number of bodies in the water, the coaches are able to really interact with the kids. The new 9 years old swimmers get introduced to the turns they will need to do next summer as 9-10s. It’s a time of year to positively set up swimmers for a better season next summer. Especially if they return for Spring Clinics in February or March! So, come join your coaches in their favorite swim season of the year. We know you are busy with other commitments in the fall, so we fully understand most of you will be on the part-time or drop-in plan. We just hope to see some of you often! Now, let’s finish what we’ve started this summer, and let’s have a great OMPA! Go, WAVES!
