A Guide to Disability Classifications for Paralympic Meets
When an athlete attends an IPC approved event (see below), they will be submitted to a physical evaluation and active swimming evaluation by a team of Doctors and Officials to verify their disability classification. This document from Virginia Swimming provides a brief synopsis of those classifications.
Wyoming Swimming encourages athletes to participate in events hosted by their local swimming clubs and provides financial supports athletes qualifying and competing in the following regional and national IPC events:
DOMESTIC NATIONAL LEVEL EVENTS - CANAM SERIES (IPC APPROVED)
(up to $500 reimbursement for travel fees)
