Welcome to the Arden Park Dolphins Registration Page.  The information here will answer many questions regarding what you can expect of the 2018 summer swim season. If you have additional questions, please contact Arden Park Dolphins Registrar Ya-yin Isle at apdregistrar@gmail.com.

The 2018 summer swim season will begin on Monday, April 2, 2018 and continue through the end of July 2018.  A schedule for the season has been posted under the “Meet Schedule” tab.

Registration Dates

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR THE 2018 SWIM SEASON.  CHECK BACK IN DECEMBER FOR INFORMATION ON REGISTRATION FOR THE 2019 SWIM SEASON.

2018 Registration Fees

Registration fees for the 2018 summer season:

$250 for the first swimmer

$200 for the second sibling swimmer

$175 for each additional sibling swimmers

$100 for High School age swimmers

High school swimmer registration fees apply to those swimmers CURRENTLY attending high school at the time of registration (in high school for the 2017-18 school year). A non-high school sibling of a high school swimmer is considered the first swimmer and will be subject to a registration fee of $250. Families with only high school swimmers are exempt from job responsibilities.

There will be no refunds of Arden Park Registration Fees after April 9, 2018.

Job Requirements

The Arden Park Dolphins Swim Team prides itself on well-run meets, which is due entirely to our family volunteers!  Each family will be required to sign up for a specific number of team jobs during the season.  The exact number of jobs will be determined after registration but typically it is 4 or 5 jobs per family.  Jobs for the Conference Championship Meet, held at the end of July are additional jobs that all families attending Champs will be required to sign-up for.

Each year we strive to insure each family contributes by fulfilling their share of the jobs.  Yet, inevitably, a few families simply do not complete their job commitment, resulting in more work for the other families.  Therefore, we ask each family to provide a check for $200 as a “jobs deposit”.  This check is due at the time of registration.  The check will only be deposited if the family does not fulfill its job commitment by the end of the summer season.

Families with ONLY high school swimmers do not need to submit a job's deposit check and are also exempt from job requirements.

NorCal Swim League Registration

The Arden Park Dolphins Swim Team is a member of the NorCal Swim League in the Eureka Conference for the 2018 season.  In addition to registering with the Arden Park Dolphins, each swimmer must also be registered with the NorCal Swim League and pay the $15 registration fee in order to participate in all league activities including swim practice and swim meets. The $15 Nor Cal Swim League Registration fee is paid directly to the League (see "NorCal Swim League" page under the "Registration" tab for more information). Please note the NorCal Swim League registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE ON A 2018 RECREATIONAL SWIM TEAM, THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SWIM LEAGUE BYLAWS STATE NO SWIMMER MAY RECEIVE ANY SWIM INSTRUCTION IN THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY.  SWIMMERS SWIMMING FOR A HIGH SCHOOL SWIM TEAM OR PARTICIPATING ON A WATER POLO OR SYNCHRONIZED SWIM TEAM ARE EXEMPT FROM THIS REQUIREMENT.  PLEASE CONTACT AN AP DOLPHINS BOARD MEMBER IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.

Team Swimsuit

The Arden Park Dolphins team swim suit will be available for purchase in the Spring.  One piece suits for girls and “jammer” or brief suits for boys will be available at The California Swim Shop located at 7330 Fair Oaks Boulevard.  Swimsuits can be ordered at the Swim Shop or during a practice when a Swim Shop representative will be available.

NEW FOR 2018: There will be two options for the team swimsuit this year. The team suit from previous years and a new swimsuit style will be available as another option for girls and boys!

Goggles for all swimmers are highly recommended and encouraged.  All girls and boys with longer hair must wear swim caps during practice and meets.

2018 Minimum Team Requirements

In order to provide an enriching and safe swim team experience, allowing for each swimmer to benefit from our outstanding coaching staff as well as to have maximum participation in swim meets, it is necessary to limit the number of swimmers in each age group.  For the 6&U age group, there is a maximum of 20 girl swimmers and a maximum of 20 boy swimmers.  For all other age groups, there is a maximum of 25 girl swimmers and 25 boy swimmers in each age group.  While these numbers have proven to be an optimal number of swimmers for the Arden Park Dolphins, circumstances in any given year may result in the number of swimmers in an age group being adjusted up or down.

Due to the success of the Arden Park Dolphins Swim Team, returning swimmers are often times filling up many age groups, leaving no room for new swimmers to register.  In addition, some registered swimmers only attend a couple of swim meets per season, potentially taking a spot from a new swimmer who would more fully participate on the team, and leaving the team short on volunteers during meets.  As such the Arden Park Dolphins board of directors will be establishing criteria for returning swimmers to earn their guaranteed spot on the team for the following swim season.  The criteria for the 2018 season will include:

* Participating in at least 3 out of the 8 swim meets (not including Time Trials, including Champs -which counts as 1 meet)

* Fulfilling the family job requirements

Swimmers not meeting the requirements are still welcome to register the following season during new swimmer registration in age groups with open spots. Please review and consider the posted Meet Schedule for the 2018 season when registering your swimmer this season. We thank you for understanding the need to establish these requirements.  Please feel free to contact any of the Arden Park Dolphins board members if you have any questions or concerns.
