About MOHO

Welcome to MOHO Swimming!

Please read through all of the following prior to registering for any of our programs.

Our History:

MOHO Gators was founded January of 2013 as a merger of two Mount Horeb swim teams, the Mount Horeb Gators, and Swim MoHo. The Mount Horeb Gators was created in 1969 with the mission to provide a summer swim opportunity for every child (6-18) in Mount Horeb. Swim MoHo was founded in 2012 with the mission to provide a competitive swimming environment in the Mount Horeb area where development of each individual's character is emphasized in a unified team environment. Through the merger we have a single, unified mission and vision for Mount Horeb Swimming and are able to offer opportunities from swim lessons, to summer swim, to year-round swim, to water polo, and to masters swim. Welcome to the MoHo Gators!

MOHO Mission:

To provide a variety of swim opportunities to promote healthy lifestyles for residents of the Mount Horeb area.  These opportunities include, but may not be limited to, a year-round USA swimming affiliated swim team; a summer swim team that participates as a member of the Tri-County Swim League; and other swim programs.

MOHO Priority:

We are a Mount Horeb team that is dependent on neighboring communities to fulfill our mission.  We swim in several area pools, and our high school swimmers co-op with the Verona Area High School to allow them the opportunity to represent their community and school.  We are very grateful to our neighboring communities who support our very existence.  Without these cooperative relationships we would not be able to fulfill our mission.

The Gators have provided all Mount Horeb swimmers with a place to swim during the summer Tri-County season as well as fall, winter, and spring Sunday clinics for decades, and will continue to do so.  However, due to a lack of pool space in the area, we cannot accommodate all swimmers in all of our other programs.

When space is limited, priority is applied in the following order at the Program Directors discretion:

  1. Returning MOHO Swimmers from immediate prior session
  2. Returning MOHO Swimmers not in immediate prior session (within 1 year)
  3. Mount Horeb High School Swimmers from VAMH high school team
  4. New Swimmers from Mount Horeb and Sauk Priaire school districts
  5. New swimmers from other communities
