CSA offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of CSA to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

You must REGISTER with the TEAM before practicing!    Limited space is available, so please contact us if you missed out on REGISTRATION.

 

Practice begins September 4, 2018 for returning swimmers.

These are general guidelines for placement and practice schedules.  We normally do not practice during scheduled meets or CWAC closings.  Some holidays are not affected!  Pay attention to the NEWS or your emails regarding practice changes.

 

Mini Crush

This group is for novice swimmers with little or no swim team experience.  Swimmers should be at least 5 years old (6 by June 1st) and be able to swim about half way down the pool.  Evaluation by the coach must precede acceptance to the group.

 

Workout Days/Times:Tues/Thurs 5:15-6

Bronze Group

Athletes in this group focus mainly on learning four legal competitive strokes, having fun, and developing start and turn technique.


Workout Days/Times: M 5:15-6 pm; Tu/Th 5:00-6 pm

 

Black Group

From the Bronze group, athletes move into this group. Practices include more advanced training techniques, interval training, and some dryland workouts.  Participation in swim meets is encouraged.

Workout Days/Times: M 3:45-4:45 pm, Tu/Th 3:45-5 pm. (Saturday a.m. may be added)

 

Silver Group

From the Black group, athletes move into this group. Athletes in this group are usually at least 10 years old and have completed the Silver Group move-up skills list. . Competing at swim meets is highly encouraged at a rate of about once per month.

Workout Days/Times: M-F 3:45-5:15; Sat 8-10

 

Gold Group

Minimum age for entry into this group is 11 (girls) or 12 (boys). Athletes entering the Gold group must display a strong desire to perform at the highest level they are capable of. Training is geared towards individual talents, although a strong aerobic endurance factor is present. Athletes in the Gold group are directed towards making  Southeastern and Sectional Time Standards.

Work out days/times: M 4:45-6:15; Tu/Th 7-8:30; W/F-3:45-5:15; Sat 8-10 am
