Practice

CSA offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of CSA to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

You must REGISTER with the TEAM before practicing! Limited space is available, so please contact us if you missed out on REGISTRATION.  Tryouts are ON HOLD.

9/2: Silver and Gold practices for Sept 8, 15, 22 have been moved to 4 pm outdoors on Friday Sept 11, 18, 25, respectively.  You know what to do!

ALL swimmers need to bring their own fins and other swim gear.  If possible, arrive with suit on for less time spent in dressing areas.

Current Covid-19 precautions are in place.  If your swimmer feels sick, or if any member of your household is recovering from Covid, DO NOT BRING YOUR SWIMMER to practice.

Emphasize physical distancing with your swimmer since masks will not be in use.

For now, park in the back of the CWAC and enter the pool area in the back.

***CSA practice schedule and roster: FINAL ANSWER

Quote of the month: "I swim because it's fun."

These are general guidelines for placement and practice schedules. We normally do not practice during scheduled meets or CWAC closings. Some holidays are not affected! Pay attention to the NEWS or your emails regarding practice changes.

***Some adjustments (up or down one level) may be made after the first couple weeks of working out.

Mini Crush ON HOLD FOR NOW

This group is for novice swimmers with little or no swim team experience. Swimmers should be at least 5 years old and be able to swim about half way down the pool. Evaluation by the coach must precede acceptance to the group.

Bronze Group

Athletes in this group focus mainly on learning four legal competitive strokes, having fun, and developing start and turn technique.  Typically, Bronze has swimmers age 6-10, or very new older swimmers.

Silver Group

From the Bronze group, athletes move into this group. Practices include more advanced training techniques, interval training, and some dryland workouts. Silver Group has swimmers age 9-12.

Gold Group

Minimum age for entry into this group is 11 (girls) or 12 (boys). Athletes entering the Gold group must display a strong desire to perform at the highest level. Training is geared towards individual talents, although a strong aerobic endurance factor is present. Athletes in the Gold group are directed towards making Southeastern and Sectional Time Standards.
