USA Swimming and the Hood River Valley Swim Team take safety seriously.
One of our main jobs is to teach our athletes how to be safe in and around the water. Being respectful of ones teammates in and out of the pool helps to ensure the safety of all. "Dunking" another swimmers is never, ever allowed on our team. Swimmers will be immediately removed from workout and told that their behavior is unacceptable the very first time it occurs. If it happens again, the swimmer will be removed from the team.
Concussion training is important for coaches, parents and athletes. HERE is the link for understanding head injuries. All athletes and parents must read this yearly according to Oregon Law.
