TAOS SWIM CLUB INC.

 

Stroke School:  Stroke school is coached by Tita Chavez and is the next level up from Learn to Swim.  Tita builds on swimmers knowledge of freestyle and backstroke and teaches swimmers butterfly and breaststroke as well as flip turns and beginning dives to prepare them for competitive swimming.  

Bronze Team: is designed for the club’s entry-level competitive swimmers who have the 4 strokes down and are ready for more physical conditioning.   Practices are designed to be fun while teaching the fundamentals of competitive swimming, including all four competitive strokes, streamlining, racing starts and turns. Coach Craig will instruct proper workout habits and behavior along with lane etiquette. Practices are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.  Participation in swim meets is also encouraged.   

                           COST:  $55/month plus annual team and USA Registration

Silver Team: is the club’s intermediate level age group designed for swimmers at least 10 years old and up.  Emphasis is upon stroke and competitive skill development.  Endurance training is also increased. Mastery of practice procedures and racing skills are emphasized.  Regular practice and meet attendance are highly encouraged and important for continued improvement and growth in the sport.  It is expected that the swimmer attend 3-5 practices a week. 

                         COST:  $65/month plus annual team and USA registration

                                       M-W-F:  5:00 - 6:00 pm

                                          T-TH:  4:15- 5:15 pm

 

Gold Team: is composed of the club’s most advanced and accomplished age group swimmers. Practices emphasize stroke and competitive skill development at an advanced level. A high priority is placed on the knowledge and physiological needs of the young developing athlete. A dry-land conditioning program is a part of practice to promote core strength and athleticism. These swimmers carry out a regular schedule of state level meets. It is strongly recommended that swimmers attend all regular practices offered to best achieve their desired goals in the sport of swimming.

                         COST: $75/monthly plus annual team and USA registration
