New swimmer evaluations will be held on June 27th for Arlington County residents and on July 14 for anyone interested in joining AAC.  All evaluations will be held at Wakefield pool from 6-8pm.   Registration for these evaluations will open one week prior to the evaluation date.  To register go to our homepage and click "Registration" on the right side of the page.  You will have 3 registration times to choose from; 6:00-6:40, 6:40-7:20 or 7:20-8:00 pm.  Note:  Your registration fee must be made at the time of your swimmer evaluation in order to reserve a spot on the team.

New Swimmers Interested in Joining AAC

Any swimmers interested in joining one of the Competitive Programs at AAC (Age Group, Age Group Advanced, Senior Prep, Senior, and National Prep) MUST schedule to attend a practice in order to join the program.

Swimmers interested in joining one of AAC's developmental and conditioning programs (Mini Gators, Gator I, Gator II, Gator III, Swim Clinic, High School Sprint, or if you're not sure) must attend one of the New Swimmer Evaluations.

NOTE:  Your Registration Fee must be made at the time of your Swimmer Evaluation in order to reserve a spot on the team.  Your swimmer will be evaluated by an AAC Coach and you will be advised as to which group you qualify for registration.  Once you are an active member of AAC, you will not need to do any future tryouts.  Your coach will provide a recommendation at the end of each swim season.  Minimum requirement for entry level is to easily enter the water and swim 25 yd freestyle with side breathing and 25 yd backstroke without stopping usually beginning at age 6 or above.

All of our coaches, as members of USA Swimming and the American Swim Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time.

The Arlington Aquatic Club, sponsored by Arlington County, is a non profit club run by its Boosters Board which meets periodically throughout the season.  All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraisers.

We are constantly growing and training swimmers to maintain a well rounded competitive swim team.
