Water Polo!!!

East Bay Bat Rays Summer Water Polo Camps

About The Camps:

The East Bay Bat Rays Swim Team (EBAT) is a non-profit organization that teaches year-round competitive swimming. Beginning this summer the EBAT Organization is offering water polo as a new addition to it’s aquatics programs.  Overseeing the Camps will be Patrick Ryken, who formerly was founder and Director / Head Coach of the Chabot Polo Bears Water Polo Club in Castro Valley.  Campers will be coached by current coaches and athletes from local College and High School water polo programs. The EBAT Water Polo Camps will teach beginner players the fundamentals of the game, advance skills of novice to experienced players, and develop / train competitive players to prepare for future high school and Club age-group teams.  Camp session practices will incorporate dryland exercises and ball-handling / passing; in-water development of water polo specific kicks, strokes, movements, drills, and ball-handling; and team offensive / defensive drills, game rules / situations, and scrimmage play.  We are excited to support the growth of the sport of water polo in the East Bay Area, and hope to see many of our summer campers continue in water polo as successful high school players this Fall, or as future age-group Club water polo members of the East Bay Bat Rays Water Polo Club, forming age-group teams / practice groups starting in Fall, 2019.
