This 2012 NCSA Jr. Nationals for TBAY Nation was put together with many outstanding swims on the individual front as well as posting some of the Nations fastest relays!  TBAY had a great showing from Senior Chris Swanson (who will be attending this year's 2012 Olympic Trials this June in Omaha).  Chris started of the meet on the very 1^st day with Silver in the 1000 Fr.  He went 9:03.50 that places him top 3 in the USA for 17-yr old Boys.  Chris also had outstanding swims in his 200 Fr and 500/400 Fr, swimming both in finals.  He went 1:53.45 in finals and put up the 5^th fastest time of the night. He also put up the 5^th fastest time in the 400 Fr with a time of 4:01.2.  We also had many outstanding final swims from Rasmus Skjaerpe.  Rasmus made finals in 100 & 200 bk, 200 & 400 im, 100 fly putting up 4 "top 15" times in the Nation in the 16 & under category.  We also had John Nolte who made finals in the 50 bk and qualified with a morning swim of 23.99.

Our boys' relays did fantastic at the meet with 3 podium finishes: 800 Fr Relay came 6^th with a time of 6:43.5 (Swanson, Dean Waite, Ryan Peters, Skjaerpe); 400 Fr came 5^th with a time of 3:04.65 (Nolte, Swanson, Skjaerpe, Waite); 200 Fr Relay came 6^th with a time of 1:24.68 (Nolte, Swanson, Skjaerpe, Waite).

This past weekend 46 of our swimmers competed at the Spring 2012 Area 3 & 5 Championships in Sarasota.  It was a fantastic meet for our kids with 17 first place finishes, 38 medal winners (top 3) and over 160 best times!  Congratulations to Olivia Kirkpatrick for her 6 Gold medals!!!
