The 2009 Summer Long Course Championship season is now completed and we are proud of all of our BAC swimmers. Not only did we have swimmers attend the Sectional Meet and the State Meet, we had two long time long course records broken.

800 Free: 9:07.28L 10th place finish
200 free: 2:09.61L 33rd place (prelims); "D" finals 32nd place
400 IM: 5:08.02L 15th place (prelims); "B" finals 16th place
400 Free: 4:35.40L 42nd place out of 144 swimmers.
Savannah's 800 Free swim has qualified her to swim in the Junior National Short Course Meet in December. Congratulations!
BAC, with our one swimmer, placed 40th out of 57 teams who scored points at the meet. We are proud of Savannah and her accomplishments at this very tough meet!
Congratulations to the BAC Swimmers that attended the Michigan Long Course State Meet hosted by CUDA and PCC. Out of 91 individual splashes (including relay lead-off legs), there were 57 personal best times achieved by BAC swimmers! BAC placed 16th out of 57 point achieving teams!

Jimmy Xue broke the 10 & Under boys 50 fly record (36.38L) set in 1993 by D. Whitbeck. While swimming at the DRD Meet Jimmy swam a 35.49L to smash the old record by almost a second. Way to go Jimmy!
Kera Sells broke the 10 & Under girls 50 fly record (35.91L) set in 1998 by Ava Ohlgren. While swimming at the Michigan Long Course State Meet Kera swam a 34.71L to breeze by the old record by over one second. Way to go Kera!
