The 2010 Summer Long Course Championship season is now completed and we are proud of all of our BAC swimmers. Not only did we have swimmers attend the Sectional Meet, 14 & Under Zone Meet and the State Meet, we had one long time long course records broken.

Congratulations to Will Greenlee for attending his first Sectional Meet - hosted by Boiler Aquatics, Purdue, IN. Will swam in the 50 Free and finished 96th out of 119 swimmers! He also placed 8th in the BONUS heat of the 100 Fly out of 33 swimmers.

Congratulations to Jimmy Xue for setting a new BAC record! Jimmy reset the 11-12 boys 50 long course backstroke to 34.54 at the CW Summerfest Meet by beating a record set by J. Cohen (34.63 set in 1983). Congratulations again on beating a very old record.

Congratulations to Melanie Dunnuck for setting a new BAC record and earning her first Zone cut. Mel reset the 10 & U girls 100 long course breast stroke to 1:33.61 at the JAWS Sun & Fun ABC IMX meet in Jenison, MI. The previous record set by A. Greenlee was 1:35.77 and was set in 1999. Congratulations again on breaking the old record by over 2 seconds.

Congratulations to Mel Dunnuck for resetting the BAC record for the Girls 10 & Under 100 LCM Breast stroke at the MI Long Course State Meet. She blew by her old record of 1:33.61 with a 1:29.51 which also was fast enough to claim the GOLD Medal at the State Meet. Congratulations on her 1st place win at the State Meet and resetting this record.

Congratulations to Mel Dunnuck for resetting the BAC record in the Girls 10 & Under 50 Breast in a new record time of 41.09 at the 14 & Under Zone Meet in Wisconsin. Mel was swimming as part of Team Michigan when she set this record and placed 7th in the meet in this event.

Congratulations to Mel Dunnuck for resetting the Girls 10 & Under 100 Breast BAC record for the third time this summer with a time of 1:29.10. Mel was swimming for Team Michigan at the 14 & Under Zone Meet in Wisconsin and placed 3rd in this event.
Congratulations to all the BAC Swimmers who participated in the Motor City Mile event at Belle Isle and swam in the Detroit River.
Savannah Hatt WON the Open Women Mile event and Kaylee Dolinski came in second! Congratulations on your 1-2 finish! Madeleine Gorman (14th place), Shaelyn Dolinski (24th place), Shannon Lohman (31st place), Ashley Reed (35th place), Halie Zulch (74th place) and Jill Johnson (75th place) also swam in the Open Women Mile event - there were 117 participants in this race! Great showing BAC women!
Christopher Kim (12th place), Scott James (13th place) and Glen Vargo (24th place) swam in the Open Men Mile event - there were 93 participants in this race! Way to go BAC men!
Sarah Lohman (8th place) and Grace LaFreniere (16th place) swam in the 13-14 Girls Mile event.
