ALL 70 BLOWFISH SWAM GREAT!

BEST BBST MEET EVER?...

          Bellingham Bay Swim Team (BBST) had 70 swimmers from their team compete in the Pacific Northwest Swimming October Challenge held at the Arne Hanna Aquatic Center in Bellingham October 22-23.  The event was hosted well by BBST and featured 350 swimmers from around the region. 

We were very successful in meeting all three major meet goals:

1)   We had tons of FUN!!!

2)   Every swimmer tried their BEST in every swim!!!

3)   Every swimmer (and coach) learned from every swim!!!

          Oh yeah, by the way, we swam SUPER FAST as well:

          ~ 41 swimmers qualified to compete in 194 events at the Pacific Northwest                            �Qualifiers� (Q) Meet Championships held in December. 

          ~The team was also successful in qualifying 14 Swimmers to compete in 48                            events at the next highest level, the Pacific Northwest Swimming                                     Championships, also held in December. 

          ~Nine BBST Blowfish qualified to compete in 30 events at the elite Western                           States Age Group Sectional Championships in March. 

          ~BBST swimmer Cole Avery, 8, set nine team records, while teammates Grace Dahl, 8, and Jessica Vlasic, 14, each established one new record.

Must be all that good effort at practice, keep it up BLOWFISH!
