(Our summer public swim hours have ended, but CPAC year-round swim programs are ongoing.)

Be part of the Chastain Park Tidal Waves Swim Team!

The Tidal Waves have won SIX consecutive Championships in the Atlanta Swim Association from 2014 - 2019, as well as 2009 our 1st championship. Our Tidal Waves had a team last summer in 2020, but there were no in person dual meets nor a championship due to the pandemic. Coach Scott Carter leads the program and the team is comprised of pool members and non-pool members from many different neighborhoods in the greater Atlanta area.

Have fun, while learning to swim correctly. The Tidal Waves team program is appropriate for all levels of swimmers from beginners to seasoned competitors ages 5 - 18 years-old as of June 1st. On occassion, we have had an exceptional 4 year-old participate on the the Tidal Waves. Our highly experienced coaches emphasize proper form, goal awareness, and good sportsmanship.

The Tidal Waves have been ASA League Champions 7 Times!

Mission Statement

The primary purpose of the Chastain Park Tidal Waves Swim Team is to teach team members the basics of competitive swimming, provide them an opportunity to learn and improve competitive swimming skills, and to do so in a unified, high spirited, team environment.

A successful season will be one where swimmers improve throughout the summer, learn to compete both individually and as a team, and build a strong sense of togetherness and team spirit, having fun all along the way.

Volunteer Information (Volunteer roles yet TBD for 2021)

Please be aware that we require each family to sign up for either four halves or two full meets.

6 & Under parents: Please keep in mind that you volunteer for the first half only. Those of you that volunteer on the pool deck for the first half of the meet need to plan to stay through backstroke.

7-8 parents: If your child swims in freestyle & back stroke, the same rule as above applies. BUT please make sure your 7-8 child is not in the Freestyle Relay which is at the end of the meet. It is very disappointing to others scheduled for the relay if one of the swimmers is missing.
