KILLARNEY LC INVITATIONAL 2020: Airdrie’s Genesis Place’s, Airdrie Phoenix Swim Club (APSC) had a stellar performance this last weekend, at the inaugural Killarney LC Invitational Meet held at Repsol Place in Calgary. Grand Prix was APSC’s first Long Course(LC) meet of the 2020 season, and what a meet it was for our Athletes. We had 17 swimmers attend the meet at University of Calgary. A great time was had by everyone! APSC had eight swimmers that had all Personal best times in their events, including: Amani, Alexis, Aysiah, Demara, Hayleigh, Jade, Lili, and Molly. The Airdrie Phoenix Swim Club is a relatively new team, swimming out of Genesis Place since September of last year. Cochrane hosted the 2020 Winter Festival South on January 25 and 26. The meet allows swimmers to compete in their distict age groups. This past Sunday at the Stettler Central Alberta Race Series we had two participants attend. Both Molly McKeown and Lili Tweten absolutely crushed it. They both swam technically strong and crushed their races. APSC teamed up with Olds Swim Club to enter two relays where both our girls competed in. Our girls swam hard and had an absolute fantastic meet. The Central Alberta Race Series has official been put on notice, the Phoenix is here. Airdrie Phoenix Swim Club was the recipients of a $1,000 donation from the Airdrie Rotary Club this evening at their annual Dragon's Den. APSC would like to thank the Rotary Club for their generous donation.

APSC had a great swim meet at the KSC Invitational this past weekend. We had 8 different swimmers make 31 finals, with numerous medals. A special congratulations to Hayleigh Haines who recieved the very first medal for the Phoenix in its inaugural season and it turned out to be a Gold. All Phoenix members to make the finals are Marcus Hollingsworth, Sienna Ferguson, Juan Cardenas, Aysiah Dunham, Lauren Ferguson, Ava Phillips, Quinn Schmick and Hayleigh Haines.

We had quite an awesome showing in the pool at the LAAC 2019 FALL CHALLENGE in Lethbridge, Alberta this last weekend! We had a total of 42/57 swims with Personal Best times! There were some huge hunks of time taken off of many the swims! An outstanding effort by Ava Phillips, who attained 5/5 Personal Best's, and (x5) Festival times. Way to go Ava!
