KILLARNEY LC INVITATIONAL 2020:

 
Airdrie’s Genesis Place’s,  Airdrie Phoenix Swim Club (APSC) had a
stellar performance this last weekend, at the inaugural Killarney LC
Invitational Meet held at Repsol Place in Calgary. The 17 APSC Athletes 
attained a  ... whopping ... 84 Personal Best Times, stepping up to 
achieve even better in finals.
 
Medal Performances:
 
Leading in the Personal Best times department with 13/13 swims was Ava Phillips(9), who scored 48 points, attaining her premier medal performance, winning Gold 100 Brst., Silver in 50 Brst., and Bronze in 50 Backstroke.
Her teammate Aysiah Dunham, came home with a pair of Silver medal performances in the 50 and 200 Backstroke.
High point was scored by Juanesteban Cardenas(15) earning 54 points. He brought home Silver in 100 Brst. , and Bronze in 200 Free.
Not to be outdone, Quinn Schmick(15) won Gold in 100 Fly, Gold in 100 Brst., and a Silver in the 50 Backstroke, rounding up the weekend with a healthy 43 team points.
 
 
Coaches Robyn Hays, and Lynne Driessen, were thrilled to see the APSC
swimmers demonstrating skills in their races, focused on for the past month, resulting in some pretty amazing performances. Technique is being honed in on, many personal best times achieved, team spirit was high, fun was had by all ... it was a truly a fantastic meet for APSC!
