We know you have many questions regarding how swimming will look this season. While we don’t have all the answers yet, here is what we know so far. Please read over the following procedures for Swim Club this season. Some things will look different and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we adjust to these changes.

Swimmer/Parent Arrival to facility

  • Swimmer/parent to arrive no more than 10 min prior to the start of practice
  • Swimmer/parent will enter Repsol Place through the main lobby doors
  • Swimmer/parent will sanitize hands upon entry
  • Recommend only 1 parent/guardian per swimmer allowed to enter for drop off
  • Change rooms and lockers may be used, however all belongings must be removed at the end of practice each day – no long term locker rentals available.
  • Swimmers are to bring their own water bottle, sharing of water bottles is not permitted.
  • No showers will be available in locker rooms. The shower on deck will be used prior to pool entry.
  • Parent to complete Daily Covid-19 Screening Questionnaire for every swimmer before every practice – any YES answers they cannot attend practice. Online forms will be made available for convenience, paper forms can also be requested.
  • Coach/board member to ensure each swimmer’s name and time of arrival is entered onto Daily Contact Tracing Log. Parents staying to watch practice will also need to enter their name and time of arrival on Daily Contact Tracing Log. *Swim Alberta discourages parent viewing except for pre-competitive swimmers*
  • Every swimmer will be required to purchase their own equipment for use throughout the season (pull buoy, kick board, flippers in mesh bag). Each swimmer will bring their equipment to practice each day and will be responsible for cleaning/sanitizing their items between practices. More information will be made available regarding the process for purchase. This equipment is NOT required for Rookie Camp.

During class

  • Repsol Place lobby/concession will be closed. Pool capacity is set at 50 in the pool (swimmers/coaches) and 12 spectators in the viewing area. Parents must respect this limit or parent viewing may be suspended. *Swim Alberta discourages parent viewing except for pre-competitive swimmers*
  • Parents staying to watch must maintain 2m/6 feet distance from others and are to remain seated on bleachers/chairs. Parents staying to watch practice will also need to enter their name and time of arrival on Daily Contact Tracing Log.
  • Mask use is not mandatory but strongly recommended when physical distancing is not possible.
  • Swimmers are to remain in assigned lane.

Leaving facility

  • Swimmers are to change promptly after swim practice. All belongings must be removed from the change room. There will be no “Lost and Found” bin at the pool, all items left behind will be discarded.
  • No showers will be available in locker rooms.
  • Parents must return promptly for pick up, swimmers must leave facility within 10 minutes of practice end to allow for cleaning and sanitizing prior to the next user group.  Swimmers cannot wait after practice in the Repsol Place lobby.
  • Recommend only 1 parent per swimmer to enter for pick up.
  • Sanitize hands upon exit for both parent and swimmer.
  • Coach/board member to enter time of departure on Contact Tracing Log for swimmers/spectators/coaches.
