The Marauders competed at the Silver Championships this past weekend in Clifton Park. Sixteen swimmers participated and nine of these swimmers placed in the top 8. Many of these swimmers also qualified to swim additional events at the upcoming Golds Championship meet.

Gold Championships

 

The Bennington Marauders completed their season this past week at the Gold Championships held at RPI in Troy, NY. Placing in the top 16 for the Marauders was: 

Zoey Zazzaro: 10th-100 Free

Molly Harper: 6th-50 Breast, 16th-100 Breast

Elyse Altland: 10th-50 Breast, 11th-100 Breast

Elyse placed well enough in the 11-12 category to return both Friday and Saturday night to swim in the finals.

The Marauders are on break now and will resume swimming in early May.

2015-2016 Fall/Winter Results

Short Course Championships

The Bennington Marauders completed their 2015–2016 season at the Adirondack Short Course Championships this past weekend at RPI in Troy New York. Four swimmers were able to make these extremely difficult cuts. Swimming for the Marauders was Elyse Altland, Grace Burhans, Paige Marion, and Phebe Hall.

Placing in the top 10 for the Marauders was:

Elyse Altland: 4th-100 breast, 6th-200 free, 2nd-100 free, 8th-50 breast, 9th-100 IM, 3rd-50 free

Grace Burhans, Paige Marion and Phebe Hall all had outstanding swims and turned in several best times. This was also Phebe Hall's last Adirondack league meet with the Marauders. She will be graduating this year and moving on. She finished her season with a personal best in the 50 free.

The Marauders are now on break. They will resume this May with a special spring training session.

Short Course Qualifiers

The Bennington Marauders were busy this past weekend. Thirteen swimmers from the Marauders competed at the Short Course Qualifier meet held at RPI in Troy, NY. Five of the 13 swimmers placed in the top 8 and many swimmers moved on to the Short Course Championships Meet. Placing for the Marauders was:

Chris Goody IMX Challenge

The Bennington Marauders were back in action this past weekend at Union College. Nine swimmers from the Marauders competed at the Chris Goody IMX Challenge in Schenectady. Placing in the top 10 for the Marauders was:

Elyse Altland: 6^th-200 IM, 5^th-100 Breast, 4^th-200 Free

Phebe Hall was a top 6 overall finisher in the IMX Challenge for the 17-year old age group. Phebe was awarded a ribbon for her achievement.

The Bennington Marauders started their fall/winter season at the Pilgrim’s Pride meet on Sunday, November 15 at RPI in Troy, NY.

The Marauders had a great showing and many impressive swims. Two of the fifteen swimmers competing were able to place in the top 10. These swimmers included:

Twelve swimmers from the Bennington Marauders competed at the 2012 Adirondack Golds Championship meet this past weekend. The Marauders had several top finishers and posted many best times. Placing the top 16 for the Marauders was:

Twenty swimmers from the Bennington Marauders competed at the Silvers Championships held in Troy, NY at RPI this past weekend. Of the twenty swimmers, twelve Marauders were ribbon winners. Placing for the Marauders was :

Piranhas Pentathlon: February 12, 2012

Several swimmers from the Bennington Marauders competed at the Piranhas Pentathlon on Sunday, February 12^th. While almost all of the swimmers posted best times, there were two swimmers who placed in the top 3:

Heather Foley: 1^st-100 fly

Grace Burhans: 3^rd-25 free

Heather Foley also received a 2^ndplace overall trophy in the 15-16 age category. Bringing home a 3^rdplace trophy in the 17-19 boys’ category was Robert Murphy.
