SACAC November 15 Update

Hello SACAC families,

It was nice to see our athletes back in the water at the HS and our coaches back on our “home” pool deck!

As with everything this year it seems; this was the first time that we’ve ever done registration this way and our coaches have been working hard to sort out practice groups and make switches where appropriate and the numbers allow.   If Coach Lou reached out to you regarding a change, please be sure to get back to him.

The kids did a nice job of following the new safety guidelines.  Please remind your athletes that it’s important that they listen to the coaches.  Our first priority is keeping our kids safe, as well as making every practice as productive as possible.  This means, following the coach’s direction, doing what is asked and being respectful of coaches and other athletes.  Please remind your swimmers and divers that it is imperative they be paying attention, participating, and focusing on practicing while there!

As you heard on Friday, the Montgomery County Dept. of Health directed all school districts to hold virtual classes from 11/23- 12/6.  Unfortunately, this means that SACAC is not able to use the pool during that time period.  Until we hear otherwise, our plan is to resume practices on Monday, Dec. 7th.   If that were to change for any reason, we will communicate those changes as soon as we are able.    Due to the loss of a week in December, we are looking into pushing back the Dec. 1stbilling and the possibility of prorating the month of December.  Again, as soon as we have more definite information about what the rest of December will look like,  we will communicate the details.   We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thank you for your support!  This is by no means an easy or quick task, but it is worth it to see our athletes in the water!

Have a good week!
