The son of a collegiate-level swimmer; athletic endeavors and coaching were a part of Coach Lou’s life from a very early age. While attending Bloomsburg University he was a staff coach for the nationally recognized Bloomsburg Area YMCA swimming team (1998-2001), where he “rubbed elbows” with NCAA level swimmers and coaches before returning to YMCA Nationals as a coach in 2001.  Amanda Goldcamp- Assistant Swim Coach

Coach Amanda started swimming at age 5 to 18 for Harleysville swim team. Since Souderton High School didn't have a pool yet complete. I winter swam for North Penn YMCA,  then Perkiomen Valley for a few years. However, I was part of the original Seahawk team that was started in 1989-1990, so from 5th grade to high school I swam on the Seahawks. In high school I was part of team of Souderton Girls High School team that placed overall third in the state. I then swam for Elizabethtown College. My favorite event was the 1650(mile) and placed first at the 1650 MAC Championships where I helped the women's take the MAC Champions.  I started my coaching career at age 15 for the Harleysville swim team for around ten years. I did  help out coaching the Seahawks a few seasons as well at Souderton Boys High School team for one season.  I  then took a little break to  get married and have my three children; Morgan 7, Avery 6, and Henry 3. I have been also teaching 3rd grade at Quakertown Elementary for the past 16 years. I just recently started to help again coaching at Harleysville swim team for the last two years since my own children have started to swim.

Melanie Radcliff- Assistant Swim Coach

Coach Melanie started swimming on the swim team when she was eight. She always swam for Souderton in both summer and winter swimming. Butterfly and Backstroke were her best strokes and still are a favorite to swim. She decided to stop swimming in High School and she played Water Polo for a year. As well as swimming and polo, she played lacrosse, and soccer for school and travel teams. She played Lacrosse and Soccer until graduation. She now coaches swimming and lacrosse for the community all year.  Coach Melanie is currently a senior at Gwynedd-Mercy College and majoring in Elementary and Special Education and works as a nanny.
