Kris Stanczewski – 14U Coed Water Polo Coach

Coach Kris started playing Water Polo in 1986 while in High School.  He continued playing club Water Polo into college at North Carolina State and Rutgers University. After graduating, he pursued a career in Information Technology. Kris received the opportunity to relocate to Harleysville from northern NJ for work in 2010. As a result, Kris returned to Water Polo by teaching the Water Polo clinic at Souderton for 5 out of the last 8 years. Kris volunteered to help both the High School and Rebel water polo teams during the Spring and Summer sessions to prepare for the Fall 2018 season. Kris’s philosophy: Build a strong skills foundation for young water polo players to enjoy and begin to compete in the best sport in the world.  Teamwork, communication and building friendships are paramount.

Kristian Stanczewski - Assistant Coach

Kristian Stanczewski is a Senior at Souderton Area High School.  He started playing water polo at the age of eight.    Kristian was named Souderton Area High School's Rookie of the year his Freshman year and made the PA State All-Freshman team.  Coach Kristian was a varsity starter his Sophomore year and made the PA Second Team, All Conference team and won the American Water Scholar Athlete Award.  During Kristin’s Junior year he was named Co-Captain of the Boy’s water polo team and made the Second All State Team, First All Conference team and the First All League team.  Kristian was named MVP and he was one of the few players to join the 100 goal club at Souderton.  Kristian also plays water polo for Buxmont Bears and competed in Junior Olympics last summer in California.  Kristian was an assistant coach for the 2019 water polo clinic and is CPR and lifeguard certified.

Julianna Kelcy - Assistant Coach 

Julianna Kelcy is a Senior at Souderton Area High School.  Julianna has swam for Souderton Dolphins for the past ten years, for Souderton Area Community Aquatic Club for nine years and swam for the High School her Freshman and Sophomore years.  Julianna started playing water polo the summer before her Freshman year of High School and played on the swing team her Freshman and Sophomore year and the Varsity team her Junior Year.  In Julianna’s Junior year she made the All Conference, All League and All State teams.  Julianna attended the Princeton Water Polo Camp last summer and represented Souderton High School at the Live Like Blain Leadership Conference in Philadelphia.  In the off-season Julianna plays water polo for the Souderton Water Polo Club, Buxmont Bears and does CrossFit at Apex gym.  Julianna has taught swim lessons at the Souderton Pool and Souderton Area High school for the past five years and is CPR and lifeguard certified. Julianna is very excited to help coach the next generation of Souderton Area High School water polo players and hopes they love the sport as much as she does!
