Bethel Park Recreation Swim Team will hold its annual Fall Swim Clinic beginning on August 30, 2021.  This clinic is for athletes ages 6-14 who are not currently registered with our team who are looking for an introduction into competitive swimming.  During the clinic, our coaching staff will work with the athletes to introduce them to the basic fundamentals needed to swim the four competitive swimming strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle) as well as an introduction to legal turns and competitive starts.

The cost of the clinic is $50.00 for Bethel Park residents and $65.00 for non-residents and you can register at the Bethel Park Recreation Office located in the  Bethel Park Community Center.

Clinic sessions will take place Monday-Thursday from 5:00-5:45 p.m. at Bethel Park High School.  It will begin on August 30th and run through September 16th.  There will be no practice on Labor Day (September 6, 2021).

After the clinic, the coaching staff can make recommendations to you for further instruction on swimming.  They may recommend returning to Swim Lessons, joining our Bethel Park Sharks Pre-Competitive Program, or joining the Bethel Park Recreation Swim Team in the Bronze Training Group.  You can read up on these programs at our website (www.bprswim.org) under the Team Information Tab, but we will also hold a meeting for parents to ask questions and get more detailed information.  The meeting location, date, and time will be released prior to the start of the clinic.

If you decide to join the Bethel Park Sharks or Recreation Swim Team you are welcome to try the group free of charge from September 20th through the 29th.  If the program works for you, you can register online prior to midnight on September 29, 2021.  If you decide not to join, no harm no foul, please know the door at Bethel Park Recreation Swim Team is always open and you are welcome back at any time.
