Michael Phelps was just named Greatest Olympian of All Time. Katie Ledecky is a five-time Olympic gold medalist, and nine-time world champion. She is the current world-record holder in the women's 400-, 800-, and 1,500-meter freestyle. While swimming is not for everyone, it does provide an opportunity for some to stay in shape, some to just enjoy the water, and others to be competitive on the level of National or Olympic athletics like no other sport can provide.
Baldwin Whitehall Aquatics is a non-profit swimming program based in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Our program promises to not only offer a competitive environment for swimming, but an energetic and motivational atmosphere for everyone involved. Our Club currently offers 5 levels of swimming, plus a yearly lessons program. We are also in close connection with the Baldwin Whitehall School District, allowing those who wish to swim for the High School or Middle School teams an opportunity to do so.
Our Novice Group is for the very beginner, allowing them the ability to get acquainted with the sport and aspects of swimming, while maintaining a primary focus on fun and skill development.
Those that move up into our Club Programs can go into the Age Group 1 and 2 Levels, which focus more on skill development and give an introduction into the competitive aspect of the sport.
Finally, our Junior and Senior Levels allow those that wish to compete and train routinely, the ability to do so at a more advanced level.
We also have an introductory program that runs daily for one week starting in September.
