1. Fundraising Requirements

EFSC must fundraise in order to maintain financial stability.  There are two primary sources of fundraising required: concession donations and the Swimmer Fundraising Commitment.

  1. Concession Donations: EFSC operates concession stands during all home dual swim meets.  The week prior to the home swim meet, the EFSC Concession Chair will post a sign-up list for items necessary to operate the concession stand for that meet.  All families are required to donate at least one (1) item for each home meet.  Unless excused by the Concession Chair for good cause, any family who fails to donate at least one (1) item per home meet will be assessed a fine of $10.00.  Concession donations are required by all families for all home meets regardless of whether the swimmer participates in the meet.

  2. Swimmer Fundraising Commitment: In order for EFSC to maintain financial stability, it is necessary for each swimmer to meet a fundraising commitment for each of the Fall, Winter, and Summer Sessions.  For the 2018 Fall and 2019 Winter Session, there will be a Cash Bash fundraiser held in the Winter 2019.  All swimmers registered for either or both the Fall and Winter Sessions will be required to sell a minimum amount of tickets for the Cash Bash, and parents of all swimmers will be required to work at the Cash Bash.  Food and Chinese Auction donations will also be required from each family for the Cash Bash.  All due dates and each swimmer’s exact obligation will be detailed in the fundraising memo distributed by the Fundraising Chair no later than September 30, 2018.  Families who either refuse or fail to sell all the Cash Bash tickets allocated to their swimmers will be assessed all or a portion of the total Swimmer Fundraising Commitment per swimmer for the Fall and Winter Sessions as set forth below.  In the event there are no Cash Bash tickets available for distribution to Winter Session only swimmers, those swimmers will be assessed all or a portion of the total Swimmer Fundraising Commitment for the Winter Session as set forth below.  Any and all assessments made for refusal or failure to sell all the Cash Bash tickets allotted to a swimmer can be charged to the credit card on file for that swimmer.

For the Summer 2019 Session, EFSC will host a Swim-a-Thon.  All swimmers will be given a mandatory minimum sponsor amount to be met, which will be announced at the beginning of the Summer 2019 Session.  Swimmers who do not meet their mandatory minimum sponsor amount will be assessed all or a portion of the total Swimmer Fundraising Commitment per swimmer for the Summer Session.

Any swimmer who has not met his/her fundraising obligation at the end of the session will be considered to not be a Member in Good Standing.

For Fiscal Year September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2019, the Swimmer Fundraising Commitment is set as follows:

    1. < >: $200 < >: $150 < >: $100

Emergency Fundraising Activities: In the event that an unexpected major expense arises, the EFSC Board may hold an Emergency Mandatory Fundraising Event to help offset the cost of this unexpected major expense.
