USA Swimming Membership Registration

Separate USA Swimming Membership Required With KW Swim Team Registration

Starting September 1, 2022, USA Swimming now requires families to separately purchase a USA Swimming membership on the USA Swimming website for each swimmer participating with the KW Swim Team.

This is not a new fee. Previously we included the price of a USA Swimming membership in our registration process and submitted a USA Swimming membership payment for each swimmer. We no longer are allowed to do this.

How to Check the Status of Your Swimmer's USA Swimming Membership

1. Go to the KW Website Home Page, and click the "Sign in" button (top right) to sign in (if you're not already signed in).

2. On the left, black column, click "My Account" > "Account Info". Click the "Members" tab.

3. Click the name of a registered swimmer, click the red "USAS MEMBERSHIP" tab, and click "Register for USA Swimming."

4. Confirm that your swimmer(s) have a USA Swimming Membership marked "CURRENT."

How to Purchase a New or Expired USA Swimming Membership

1. Go to the KW Website Home Page, and click the "Sign in" button (top right) to sign in (if you're not already signed in).

2. On the left, black column, click "My Account" > "Account Info". Click the "Members" tab.

3. Click the name of a registered swimmer, click the red "USAS MEMBERSHIP" tab, and click "Register for USA Swimming."

4. Create a "Parent Account" with USA Swimming.
(Only perform this step if you do not already have a "Parent Account" with USA Swimming. If you have a "Parent Account" with USA Swimming, simply log into your USA Swimming account.)

5. Purchase a USA Swimming membership for every swimmer in your family. See information on what Membership type to select under the FAQs below.

6. Once you've purchased a USA Swimming membership for one swimmer, complete the same process above if you have multiple swimmers. Additionally, you can confirm that your swimmer(s) have a "CURRENT" or valid USA Swimming Membership by viewing each swimmer using steps 2 and 3 above.

Do I have to purchase a USA Swimming membership?

Yes, all KW Swim Team swimmers must have an active USA Swimming membership.

What USA membership type should I select for my swimmer(s)?

Age Group, Junior, and Senior groups:

If you're registering for the Fall/Winter season, you must select a Premium Athlete USA Swimming membership for $88 to compete in an unlimited number of meets all year long.
If you're ONLY registering for the Spring/Summer season, you can select Seasonal membership for $50.

Pre-Competitive and Developmental groups:

Swimmers under 12: You have the option to select a Flex Athlete USA Swimming membership for $30 to compete in up to two meets during the year. You can upgrade at any time to the Premium Athlete USA Swimming membership to participate in additional meets.
12 and over swimmers:
- If you're registering for the Fall/Winter season, you must select a Premium Athlete USA Swimming membership for $88.
- If you're ONLY registering for the Spring/Summer season, you can select Seasonal membership for $50.

How frequently must I purchase a USA Swimming membership?

USA Swimming memberships must be renewed annually.

Do I have to purchase a USA Swimming membership for each swimmer?

Yes, you must pay for a separate USA Swimming membership for each swimmer you register for the KW Swim Team. So, if you’re registering three swimmers for the KW Swim Team, you must purchase three separate USA Swimming memberships.
