So, you've read the information and you're ready to become a swimmer at GJY.  Here's how you do it:

 Anyone wishing to join the GJY Swim Team needs to fulfill the following requirements:

1. Be 5 to 18 years of age.

2. Be a full-year privileged member of the Johnstown YMCA.

3. Pay the $240 Team Fee for Novice swimmers or $ 372 for Intermediate/ Advanced swimmers.  There is a  $36 discount for additional family member’s on the team. **A month long season beginning “try it, you’ll like it” is available to new swimmers at a cost of $40. This amount is applied to the team fee if your child decides to join the swim team.  Go to the front desk at the Y to pay your fees for the season. They will have the fee information and other appropriate forms.

4. Call the YMCA to see if your child meets the swimming ability needed for their age group. A Coaches evaluation may be necessary.
