Bob Kupperman – Program Director & Head Coach

Coach Kup is a USA Swimming and ASCA certified coach. He has over 19 years of combined experience in aquatics, both in the pool and on the deck. As a swimmer and diver, Coach Kup has been an All American Student Athlete, and a member of Drexel Swim Club, Hilltop Swim Club, Lower Merion Aquatic Club, Lower Merion High School, Suburban Seahawks Club, Germantown Academy, Germantown Academy Aquatic Club and the University of Pittsburgh. During his swimming career, Coach Kup held a variety of records, individually and as a member of a relay, at Germantown Academy, Lower Merion High School and throughout the SAL and DELCO leagues, some of which still stand today. Coach Kup is also a member of the 1993-94 University of Pittsburgh’s Big East Championship Men’s Swim Team. He has spent time on the deck as a swimming coach for the Episcopal Academy Aquatic Club, Episcopal Academy Upper and Middle School Swimming & Diving Teams, and the Waynesboro Country Club Swim Team, and has coached water polo at the Upper and Middle school levels for Episcopal Academy, Episcopal Academy Aquatic Club, and NXT Water Polo Club. During his tenure as a school coach, he has seen swimmers from his teams win Inter-Ac titles, obtain Top Three Team Finishes at Easterns, win individual Easterns championship titles, achieve a Top Ten national ranking with its’ Girls Medly Relay Team and obtain Academic and Athletic All American Honors. As a club coach he has worked with swimmers who have qualified for various levels of swimming championship meets including Junior Olympics, Eastern Zones, Senior Champs, Sectionals, Junior Nationals and High School District & States. Coach Kup has served as an Aquatics Director, swimming lessons instructor, pool manager, and lifeguard throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is currently the Aquatics Director and Head Varsity Swim Coach for George School.

Ginna Lewing – Head Age Group Coach

Ginna Lewing has spent much of her life in and around the swimming pool as a swimmer, lifeguard, coach, swim lesson instructor and pool manager. As a youth, she swam for NRG swimming, Brookside Swim Club, and Pennsbury High School. Ginna was a talented age group swimmer and high school athlete, competing at the District and State levels in field hockey, swimming and soccer. As a Pennsbury Falcon, she won a PIAA State soccer championship in 1999 and was a State runner up during her senior year in 2000. Ginna is extremely passionate about her two favorite sports, swimming and soccer, and she has spent her adult life coaching at the collegiate, high school and club levels. 

Ginna is a USA swimming certified coach. She has 17 years of swim coaching experience, with the majority of those years spent on the Brookside swim club pool deck. Throughout her career as a swim coach, Ginna has worked with numerous swimmers who qualified and medaled at major competitions including Junior Olympics, Eastern Zones, Senior Champs, Junior Nationals, Sectionals, YMCA Nationals and PA HS Districts and States. 

Ginna is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where she played four years of Division I college soccer as an undergraduate, then served there as an assistant coach for the next 9 years during which she worked on her Masters degree. Ginna is currently the Head Age Group Coach of GSA, as well as the Assistant Aquatics Director and Assistant Varsity Swim Coach for George School. 

Duncan Kraig – Assistant Coach

Duncan has 12 years of experience coaching both swimming and water polo.  He has spent much of his swim coaching career with the Episcopal Academy Upper School Swim Team, middle school team and the EAAC Aquatic Club.  He has also spent numerous summer seasons on the Glenhardie Country Club pool deck working with their swim team.  Episcopal Academy has also benefitted from Duncan's water polo experience as he has spent years coaching their Girls, Boys and Middle School water polo teams prior to coaching at GSA.  

Duncan grew up in West Chester, PA and began swimming competitively at age 6.  He was a District 1 qualifier during all four years of his High School swimming career.  Duncan also competed on his HS water polo team and played polo collegiately for two seasons.  A graduate of West Chester East High School and West Chester University, Duncan currently lives in King of Prussia, PA with his wife.  He has been coaching at GSA since the spring of 2017.  He is an assistant coach working primarily with the Developmental program and the Junior and Senior training groups.
