2019-2020 GSA Short Course Season (September 9, 2019 to June 12, 2020):

 

Developmental Program

The GSA Developmental Program is geared towards swimmers who have completed swimming lessons in the four competitive strokes and are interested in exploring competitive swimming. The program is for swimmers aged 6-10 and will focus on refining the four competitive strokes, as well as racing turns and starts. The goal of the developmental program is to teach young swimmers the basics of competitive swimming. Swimmers in the Developmental Program have the option to compete in USA Swimming meets. Participation in meets is encouraged, but not required.

 

Practice Schedule:
Monday and Wednesday 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Saturday 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

 

Equipment Requirements:

  • Water Bottle/Drink
  • Mesh Bag
  • Fins (medium length blade)
  • Kickboard
  • ​FINIS positive drive fins

Age Group Practice Schedule

Monday through Thursday 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00-10:30 a.m.

  • Fins (medium length blade)

Junior Group Practice Schedule

Monday through Thursday 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Friday 5:30-7:30 p.m. 
Saturday 7:00-9:00 a.m.

Dryland training 
Tuesday and Thursday 5:30-6:20 p.m.
                                                   

Equipment Requirements:

  • Water Bottle/Drink
  • Mesh Bag
  • Kickboard
  • Pull Buoy
  • Fins (medium length blade)
  • Paddles (StrokeMaker brand), just slightly larger than surface area of hand
  • Ankle Band (FINIS Ankle Strap)
  • Parachute (StretchCordz Drag Belt/Tow Tether, 8 inch chute size)
  • Snorkel (FINIS Swimmer's Swim Snorkel)
  • Chocolate Milk (or other protein drink for post-training recovery)
