Good afternoon, Sharks / Varsity swimmers!
Now that the regular season of Varsity has ended, Coach and I wanted to send out a quick summary of the weeks ahead back in the MLAC universe to essentially stress one thing: there is still plenty of swimming ahead in the next month and a half for everyone. A lot of hard work has been put into the previous six months and now is not the time to stop.
Working backwards, there are ample competition opportunities ahead to get some best times on the books in non-HS events, a final few races of other events, and/or just some races at some different pools. Below is the breakdown of dates, qualifiers, and important info for the meets in the next month and a half. These are all good opportunities to get a new time on the books (SwimCloud!!) for almost every race.
Below is the practice schedule for the next two weeks. After WPIALs, Coach will revise and send out a new schedule for the following weeks to all Sharks.
For those on the Varsity team but not currently a registered MLAC swimmer (Shark), you are still able to join MLAC and keep your training going. The process is two-step and quite simple.
> STEP ONE: Register with USA Swimming as an Athlete Member. This costs $88 and is the responsibility of each family to process before MLAC registration. Failure to register for USA Swimming will result in the MLAC registration not being processed and the swimmer unable to practice and compete.
> STEP TWO: Register with MLAC as a Shark.
Let’s keep the excitement going for at least a few more weeks! GO LEBO!
