TEAM UPDATE:  Currently, our home pool, located at Norwin High School, is undergoing major renovations. The pool is anticipated to re-open in the Fall of 2021. This summer we are holding practices at two different sites. In the evening, the team is swimming at the Olympic Swim and Health Club in Penn Hills.  We are holding long course practices there in their 50 meter outdoor pool. We also have morning practice time at White Oak pool.  Please contact us if you are interested in information regarding team try-outs, or need information on our Aqua Academy. The Aqua Academy program is a pre-team program that helps competent swimmers develop the swimming abilities necessary to join the team.  We look forward to resuming our Learn to Swim program, which has taught thousands of local kids how to swim, once we are able to return to the Norwin High School pool.

ABOUT OUR CLUB:  The Norwin Aqua Club was founded in 1970, and is designed to promote and develop competitive swimming for swimmers of all ages and abilities. The Norwin Aqua Club is open to all swimmers who participate in a club try-out conducted by the Coaching staff. This program operates year round at the Norwin High School Pool. Practice sessions are broken into groups based on age and ability, and are at the discretion of the Head Coach, Neil Jones. The primary purpose of the Norwin Aqua Club is to act as a feeder program for the Norwin Varsity Swim Team. The Norwin Aqua Club is primarily a volunteer-run organization, and we value the contributions of all of our swim families. Swimming is a year round sport that requires a year-round commitment from both swimmers and their parents. Although we encourage this commitment from all of our swimmers and their families, we do not require it. What we do request is that a swimmer makes a commitment for a season. Our season is typically broken into 3 sessions: Fall, Winter and Summer. Practice is normally Monday thru Friday. Attendance at every practice is not mandatory but is encouraged. In addition to just swimming, the team participates in an annual banquet, summer picnic, and a holiday swim party. The Norwin Aqua Club also swims in the Allegheny Mountain and Chestnut Ridge swim leagues. In the Chestnut Ridge swim league, we swim against other local clubs including Penn Trafford, Hempfield, Latrobe, and Derry. If you have any questions please contact us at [email protected]
