Class of 2020 - Senior Spotlights!

Aidan Dowdall

Aidan will be attending Penn State University in the fall.  Aidan has the very unique distinction of graduating as a TWELVE YEAR MEMBER of PTSC (I can only find one other member who has done this in the last decade).

Favorite PTSC memory: the Halloween costume parties we used to have when we were young.

Advice: Always listen to the coaches, they all may have different approaches but all have so much to offer.

Congratulations Aidan!

Sam Edgar

Sam will be attending Penn State University.

Sam's favorite PTSC memory was the Ohio State travel meet during his freshman year.

Sam’s advice is:  Stick with it-the HS swim team is so much fun!  Don’t give up!!!

Congratulations Sam!

Carly Frizzell

Carly will be studying nursing at CCAC for two years, followed by two years at Carlow University.

Favorite memory - fun relays we would do at practice.

Advice - it’s worth it to keep swimming, you get a second family that understands what it means to be a swimmer and so many fun things you get to do with that family!

Congratulations Carly!

Matt Heeter

Matt will be attending the University of Virginia to study Systems Engineering.

Favorite swim club memory: Hanging out with friends after meets.

Advice to younger members: Keep swimming because the high school swim team is fun and rewarding.

Congratulations Matt!

Alex Lepri

Alex will be heading to Miami University of Ohio to study Communicative Design and Arts Management.

Favorite PTSC memory: going to the 2019 Eastern Zones Championships. We were all genuinely excited and were posting awesome times. Everyone was cheering for each other and we placed very well. I can say it was one of the hardest meets of my life but also one of the best. It was worth every second.

My advice to the younger athletes would be place yourself in a competitive mentality and don’t beat yourself up. If you want to win and become the fastest you have to act upon it. Go to every practice, always give it your all, and swim every race as if it were your last. However, in swimming you won’t always be on top so you need to prepare yourself for some bumps in the road. Don’t let those obstacles overcome you though. Recognize what happened, you can be upset, but you have to move on. Good luck PTSC, hope you all crush it next season!

Congratulations Alex!

Isabel Olalde

Isabel will be studying nursing at Duquesne University in the fall.

Favorite swim club memory: the dance parties the girl's team would have in the locker room before school/meets.

Advice for younger members: be as supportive and involved as possible because you’ll never get to do something like this again.

Congratulations Isabel!
