Gwen Nulph Head Coach

Gwen started coaching with RACE in 2005 and was named Head Coach in 2007.  She started out as a competitive swimmer herself at the age of seven and swam throughout high school on both summer and winter leagues. She has 20 plus years of experience in aquatics with both adult and children at various YMCA’s, with numerous qualifications.  Gwen is a ASCA Certified Level 3 (AMS) coach and holds all the requirements set forth by them, which includes Life guarding, CPR, First-aid, a federal back ground screening. She attends the ASCA World Clinic and Eastern States Clinic each year, which bodes itself as the most comprehensive and personalized coaches’ clinic in the US.  In 2010,11,12 and 13, she was chosen to be on the Allegheny Mountain Zone Coaching Staff. Since then she has coached swimmers to Nationals 2014 and 2015. Gwen is also the Varsity assistant coach for Riverside High School. That included swimmers attending PA State swimming’s in relays and individual events. With swimmers placing in the top 8. She is looking forward to another great season!!

Eric Rosendale Coach

Coach Eric has been with RACE since 2007.  He entered the sport as a swimmer in the 8th Grade. He remembers his first competitive 50 yard Freestyle swim took over a minute but by the time he was a senior in high school, he swam the 100 yard Freestyle event in 50 seconds, proving that with hard work and dedication, one can achieve great things!  Coach Eric holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Pittsburgh and is currently the Executive Director for the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit.  Coaching is his connection back to the classroom where he instructs and motivates student athletes to be their very best!

Logan Petrak Coach

Coach Logan is returning to RACE for her first season of coaching after swimming for the team for over 10 years. She recently graduated from Slippery Rock University with a degree in Education, and is now a fourth grade teacher at Shenango Elementary School.Coach Logan swam for many years growing up, as well as running track, being a cheerleader for Ellwood City and riding horses.She is thrilled to be back at her home team and cannot wait to see all of the swimmers develop into the best they can be!

Madison Rosendale Coach
Mitchell Schall Coach

Coach Schall started his swimming career at Seneca Valley High School, and continued on to Notre Dame College a Division II school located in Cleveland Ohio. While at Notre Dame he specialized in sprint freestyle and was named Most Improved Swimmer and received multiple all conference honorable mentions and finished Top 20 all time in points scored in school history. Coach Schall has spent the past seven years coaching for programs like The Rose E. Schneider YMCA Riptide, Mars High School, Zelienople Area Swim Club, and Get Fit Families which is a local Triathlon program in the area. Coach Schall believes teaching technique is very important but you also have to have fun while doing it!
