Thank You & Please Welcome the new members of Steel City Aquatics Board of Directors

President BOD Member

Steel City Families,

As we dive into a sea of gratitude and celebration as we prepare to celebrate the end of another Long Course season, we are thrilled to introduce the outstanding individuals that have stepped up to guide Steel City towards new horizons. But before we unveil our new board members, we must take a moment to shine a spotlight on the true pillars of our Steel City Family: our dedicated and selfless volunteers.

To our volunteers: YOU are the current that propels Steel City Aquatics forward, the very heart that keeps us thriving. We have accomplished events and meets (and changes of meets) that we have never done before. Without your boundless strength and passion, our Swim Club would not be what it is today. For this, we are eternally grateful!

Now, with immense joy and gratitude, we introduce the awesome volunteers who have stepped up to join the Steel City Aquatics Board of Directors:

  • Nate Hankinson has stepped down from his Meet Director Position to accept the role of Vice President.
  • Leslie Connors will continue to shine as the Moon Site Director and we look to her to guide and teach the other Steel City Site Directors.

  • Brandon Karpy continues to push us forward and will take on the IT Director/Data Analysis role for another term.

  • Mallory DemIco will join the board as Secretary and we look forward to her great work that came from her sudo role as “Socials” coordinator.

  • Teil Bruneau has agreed to serve as South Fayette Site Director and is looking forward to building on the momentum of that site.

  • Anne Dimond has been named the first Montour Site Director and is excited at the opportunity to start something great at our new Montour Site.

  • Mike Klaum who has been shadowing Nate for the last couple of years will take the reigns as Meet Director and take on the challenge of running some of the best meets in the AMS.

As we stand on the cusp of an extraordinary journey. As a team, we will continue to create unforgettable memories, nurture the passion for swimming, and build an inclusive haven where everyone feels valued and inspired.

Our new board members, in the spirit of gratitude, eagerly anticipate hearing your ideas, suggestions, and aspirations for Steel City Aquatics. They recognize the power of community and will work diligently to ensure that your voices are heard.

Let's embark on this exciting adventure together, riding the waves of gratitude and harnessing the strength of our volunteers to create a legacy of excellence that will carry us into the future.

If you have any questions, would like to join our incredible team of volunteers, or simply wish to share your appreciation, feel free to reach out anytime.

Thank you and hope to see you all very soon!
