2023 REGION VIII SPRING SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Congratulations to all of the swimmers that competed in the Region VIII Spring Sectional Championships! It was a total team effort and is the second consecutive Region VIII Spring meet where NWAA placed in the top 10 in the combined (8th Place). The women placed 6th and the men were 13th. We saw a ton of lifetime best times and new team records. There was even an event in which three of our 15-16 boys went under the previous record. GREAT JOB SHARKS!!!

COACHES TIPS
- With the end of the short course season upon us, this is an excellent opportunity for the swimmers to reflect on their seasons. They can ask themselves what they believe they did a great job with and what they believe that they could have done better. As a coaching staff, we will be doing the same process. No matter how good of a season we’ve had, there are always things that we can do better. It’s a matter of identifying those things and making sure that we take time to work on them.
- In addition to taking time to reflect, it’s a great idea to take time away from the pool and have the swimmers do some other activities. They will be able to build back into everything when we resume our regular practice schedule on March 27th. The break between the short course and long course seasons is good for mind and body.
