Tuesday Update – 10/30/18

PRACTICE UPDATE

There will be no practice on Saturday, November 3rd at the BCC due to the NWAA vs AquaHawg Age Group Dual Meet. Walton Life’s main pool is also still down. We are hopeful that it will come back online in the near future. As soon as it does, we will let all of you know.

Happy Halloween 10-31-18

Wednesday 10-31-18 there will not be practice for the following groups:  Makos, Tiger sharks, Great white and Hammerhead!

Senior Group WILL HAVE PRACTICE from 4:00PM – 5:30PM

NWAA vs AQUAHAWG AGE GROUP DUAL MEET

Warm-up starts at 7:30am. Please have your swimmer(s) at the BCC by 7:15am. This will ensure that your swimmers have their events marked as soon as possible. The timeline for the meet will be posted online soon.

ENTRY DEADLINES

  • The second Friday Night at the Races is Friday, November 9th at the Jones Center. All Tiger Sharks, Great Whites, and Hammerheads are encouraged to enter this meet. Please confirm your swimmer(s) intent to swim or not by the end of the day today.

  • The TYR Super Finals is Friday, November 16-18 at the Jones Center. All 11 and older swimmers are encouraged to enter this meet. This meet will be a prelim/final meet. It is the first opportunity for that of the season for the Sharks. We highly recommend that your swimmer(s) participate in this meet if they are able to do so. The entry deadline for this meet in Tuesday, November 6th at midnight. Please confirm your swimmer(s) intent to enter this meet or not by then.

 

SAFE SPORT TASK FORCE

It is extremely important for NWAA to be compliant with USA Swimming’s Safe Sport governance. We recently discovered that we were lacking a few key components, so we decided to create a task force responsible for reviewing and developing policies that will put the safety and well-being of every swimmer at the forefront here at NWAA. The members of the Safe Sport Task Force are as follows:

TOUGH AS NAILS AWARD RECIPIENTS – WEEK OF 10/22/18

Merchandise Announcement

New 3 Pack of Shirts are available! Please order your NWAA SHIRTS by November 4th, 2018.  To order please email  tlh0812@gmail.com. Include size of shirt Adult or Youth and Drifit or Cotton and your Swimmers Name. You can order any combination of Drifit and Cotton.  Please order in color sets of 3 and make sure you have a Blue, White and Black as these shirts will be worn at swim meets. A different shirt color represents a different day of the meet.  The Shirts at $33 each for the 3 pack. The shirts are not just for the swimmers.  Parents feel free to order the shirts as well to show your team spirit.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
