Senior I

The Senior I group is second highest level of the competitive programs within the Northwest Arkansas Aquatics program. The base requirement to be in this group is to be a freshman in high school and have developed the necessary skills while in the Makos group.

The focus of the Senior I group is to prepare the swimmers to be as competitive as possible within local, regional, and national level competitions. For those swimmers that want to continue their swimming careers at the collegiate level, the Senior I group will prepare them for that.

Swimmers in the Senior I  group will range in ages of 14-18. If a swimmer or swimmers in this group are excelling in training and are consistently swimming at the level of those in the Senior II group, we will have a conversation amongst the staff to determine if moving the swimmer(s) up is the right move for them in that stage of their development in the sport.
