SCHEDULE— As we get close to our championship meets and the end of the long course season we will have several practice adjustments. Please see below for the tentative schedule for the remainder of the season:

  • July 11th- Regular practice for all groups with the exception of No dryland for the Senior 1 and 2 due to the meet.
  • Friday, July 12 – Regular practice for all groups with the exception of No practice for the Rookies.
  • Saturday, July 13th-No practice for any groups.
  • July 15th-25th-Regular Practice for all groups with the exception of No dryland for Senior I and 2.
  • July 26-27th- No practices for any groups due to the ASI Championship meet.

Upcoming Break—The last day of Long Course practice will be July 25th for all groups.  Please see below for the tentative dates that the Short Course season will begin for each group. Check with your primary coach for group placement for the Short Course season. If your swimmer is attending the Central Zone Championship meet, please check with their primary coach about practice times after the state meet.

  • Senior 1 and 2:  August 12th
  • Wild 1 and 2:  August 15th
  • Rookie and Hawgs:  August 19th

2019 ARKANSAS STATE LONG COURSE MERCHANDISE: From the host team: Shirts are on sale until July 14.  Shout-outs are on sale and must be submitted by July 12.  Stickers and non-personalized towels are also on sale.


LRAD Mary Grace Tucker Memorial Invite (July 12-14)-  The timeline, psych sheet, and warm up information are posted on the meet page

Positive check in reminder:  Positive check in with the Clerk of Course will be required for the 400 IM, 400 Freestyle, 800 Freestyle and 1500 Freestyle. Swimmer must check in 30 minutes prior to start of the session. The 1500 Free and the 800 Freestyle will be limited to 16 swimmers of each gender. The 400 IM will be limited to the top 24 swimmers of each gender. The 400 free will be limited to the top 40 swimmers of each gender. Additional heats may be accepted for the 400’s and the 800 if the meet director determines that the session can be conducted in less than 4 hours. The host club reserves the right to seed its “NT” swimmers before those of other teams. Coaches will be notified regarding any entries unable to swim. Swimmers in the 400, 800 and 1500 Freestyle must provide their own timers. 400, 800 and 1500 freestyle will be swum fastest to slowest, alternating women and men.

  • Friday, July 12:
  • Warm Up: 4:10 - 4:50pm        Meet Starts: 5:00pm 

  • Saturday, July 13 AM:
  • Warm Up: 8:10 - 8:50am        Meet Starts: 9:00am 

  • Saturday, July 13 PM:
  • Warm Up: 1:00-1:50pm          Meet Starts: 2:00pm 

  • Sunday, July 14 AM:
  • Warm up: 7:30am - 8:10am    Meet Starts: 9:00am

ASI Long Course Championships (July 25-28) - This is the Arkansas Long Course State Championships.  It is open to all qualifiers.  The eligibility report is posted. The deadline to commit is Sunday, July 14th.  All qualifiers should attend.   

Aquahawgs Summer League Opportunities:

These meets are open for all groups as long as your swimmer does not have a B time.  These meets are hosted by the local summer swim league.  Times will not count towards official times with USA Swimming. These are developmental meets geared towards novice swimmers.  Swimmers with 'B' times cannot swim events in which they have achieved the 'B' time standard. Summer Swim Meet @ Mt. Sequoyah (July 19)-Deadline to commit is July 14th.

Open Water Race Opportunity:  The 12th Annual Tallchief Open Water Challenge in Tallchief Lake at Zink Ranch, OK will be on September 8, 2019.  Please click here for more information or to register for the meet.  Please note that the race will be limited to the first 150 participants and you must register for the meet on your own.
