Josh Wolin Co-Head Coach

Coach Joshua Wolin joined the Albany Starfish in May 2015 and is currently Co-Head Coach and site director at the Ravena Site.  Coach Josh began his swimming career in White Plains, NY; swimming for Fairview Aquatic Swim Team (F.A.S.T.), Condors Swim Club, Pace Setters Swim Club and Greenburg Swim Team during the Summers. In 2007, Josh became the diving coach at the Greenburg Swim Team, where he developed a number of top 10 divers at Westchester County Championships. The following year, he took over as the Head Swim Coach for the Torview Swim Club where he led them to back-to-back league championships in 2009 and 2010. In 2011, Josh graduated from SUNY Albany with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Theatre. In 2011 Josh joined the Bethlehem YMCA where he helped form the BAY Rays Swim Team. Over the course of 4 years, the team grew to over 175 swimmers and finished 2nd overall at the YMCA New York State Championship in 2015. Since 2011, Josh has developed YMCA State, YMCA National, USA Winter Jr. National, Speedo Sectional, and a number Age Group Zone Qualifiers. In 2017-2018, 5 swimmers achieved top 100 times in the nation per their respective age. 

Lori Antolick Assistant Coach

Lori resides in Wynantskill with her husband Greg and two daughters, Carly (16) and Ellen (14). She is a litigation attorney with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. She graduated from The Johns Hopkins University where she was an All-American swimmer in the breaststroke events. She obtained her law degree from Syracuse University. Lori races triathlons and is a huge fan of the Buffalo Bills! 

Bill McDonald Assistant Coach

Coach Bill McDonald is excited to join the Albany Starfish Swim Team working primarily with the pre-competitive, white, black and gray groups at the newly formed Ravena South Sight.  Growing up in Selkirk, NY, Bill began teaching swimming at 15 years old and has been a swim instructor for over 20 years.  As a teacher in New York State, Bill has also coached Baseball and Track at the high school level.  He graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a Bachelor’s degree in History, Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education.  For the past four years, Bill was the Assistant Head Coach of the BAY Rays Swim Team, where he facilitated the development of the 2014 8&under girls NYS YMCA State Champion. In 2015, Bill was the primary coach overseeing the 8&under boys, who finished 1st at the NYS YMCA State Championships. Coach Bill brings with him a wealth of knowledge in, developmental stroke mechanics, and a caring demeanor that works great with training young swimmers

Emma Rupert Assistant Coach

Coach Emma joined the Starfish in 2017 and currently works at the North Site, primarily working with our senior-prep group. She grew up swimming for the Southern Saratoga Barracudas and Shenendehowa High School. Coach Emma continued on and swam for Siena College at the Division I level, focusing on distance freestyle and IM events. In her free time, she likes to read, spend time with family /friends, bake and of course, swim! Over the summer, Coach Emma completed her first sprint triathlon and hopes to train for and complete more in the future.

Keith Casserly, MPH

Resides in Rexford NY with his two Starfish age group swimmers Ethan and Emma.  He is an US Army National Guard active-duty medical service officer. Collegiate Swimmer @ Brown University (1993-1996).  Former World class triathlete: U.S. Amateur National Triathlon Champion (1995) and U.S. Amateur Triathlete of Year (1996).  As a parent, a public health officer and a coach, Keith is passionate about ensuring kids develop a healthy active lifestyle and enjoy the sport of competitive swimming.

Brink Hartman Assistant Coach

Coach Brink began coaching with the Starfish in 2017.  He works primarily with Group 3 and Senior 1 and 2.  Coach Brink has been involved with swimming since starting as an 8 and Under swimmer with the Delmar Dolfins.  He was a member of the Bethlehem Central Varsity Swim and Dive teams winning the Section II title during all four years of his High School career.  Coach Brink swam for Larry VanWagner at Marist College and while at Marist, Brink was conference champion in multiple individual events and relays and contributed to the team capturing the first conference championship in school history.  With the Starfish, Coach Brink’s focus is on creating a fun training environment where athletes can challenge themselves to achieve their goals.  When not on the pool deck Brink can be found spending time with his two starfish swimmers, Maggie and Andrew, and working on improving his golf game.
