About the Group


Expectations/Required Skill

  • For swimmers 14 years old or older/entering Fall of 9th grade
  • Have achieved a Summer Sectional qualifying time
  • Able to complete the following test sets:  10x100 free on 1:10; 5x200IM on 2:40; & 1000 kick under 16:30
  • Follows SAC dryland training program
  • Committed to attending highest qualified championship meet for the season
  • Shows leadership skills in and out of the pool, great attitude, and elite level work ethic
  • Demonstrates proficiency in practice skills such as tight streamlines, able to complete 25s underwater with no breath, 7 dolphin kicks off walls for fly/back, and able to maintain breathing patterns for fly/free.

  • Speedo Junior Nationals @ Austin, TX (Dec. 7-10) -- Qualifiers only
  • SAC Winter Invite (Jan. 27-29)
  • AZ Swimming Senior State Championships @ MAC (March 2-5) -- Qualifiers only
  • Speedo Spring Sectional Championships @ Austin, TX (March 23-26) -- Qualifiers only

USADA: Athlete Guide to Anti-Doping

Swimmers who currently take a prescription medication should check the list of approved medications available on the USADA website, or contact the USADA Drug Reference Line at [email protected] or call 719-785-2000 (option 2).

If a swimmer is taking any medication found on the list of banned substances, they should register with USADA.
