Booster Welcome Letter
We are so glad to see the team thriving and growing!! It is awesome to see the swimmers working hard towards meeting their determined swimming goals they set with the coaches while at the same time developing close friendships with other team members. The AZAC Boosters Board wants to welcome you all and give you a status update on some of the fun and important events. Thanks to the Booster Board for completing the documentation and submitting it to the State of Arizona and the IRS in order to setup a tax deductable 501c3 charitable status for the Boosters organization. The AZAC Boosters has been approved as 501c3, please see your tax advisor for tax deduction advice. Our primary goal for the Boosters Organization will be to raise money to assist our Wonderful AZAC Coaches with needed items for the team i.e. dryland and swim training equipment, some team outfitting, etc. as well as plan fun events for the swimmers.
- We have establishing a checking account for the AZAC Booster Organization with three Booster Board Members signed on the account for oversight with all funds being raised.
- We have put together team clothing package for purchase that will include various items such as a swimsuit, shorts, shirts, backpack, sweats etc. This will have the AZAC logo on the merchandise and have order forms available.
- We will also be asking for a $50 donations from all families to get the Booster fund started and begin purchasing items for the team.
Dryland training equipment (i.e. small hand weights)
T-Shirts or caps for the state team (March and July)
Meet travel funds for kids to attend an away meet or National level competition
In water training equipment (i.e. bucket system)
We want the kids to also learn to give back to the community in which we all live and to help out those less fortunate than we are. We periodically will participate in community service events to help the kids focus on the spirit of giving. Recent events include Turkey Drive, Feed Our Starving Children, Adopt-A-Highway, Spreading Rock at Hamilton Pool, Adopted a Family for Christmas through a local church, participation in Pat's Run for the Pat Tillman Foundation, hanging 3000 drowning awareness flyers and holding free swim clinics at each of our community pools to promote the sport.
The Boosters have provided the team with a banner to promote the team at events!
We really are enjoying meeting all the new parents and swimmers and love the way everyone is pulling together to develop this great team. We look forward to getting to know you all better and continue to provide the coaches with whatever support they need to help out the swimmers. I’m sure there will be many questions as we go forward and we will do our best to get them answered in a timely manner. Please let us know if you have any ideas for fund raising or fun events to schedule for the swimmers. Welcome once again and let’s all encourage our swimmers to do their best!!
Highest Regards,
The AZAC Boosters’ Organization
