Please note that there are 2 Dual Meets that day, so please be sure to volunteer for the correct meet. UPCOMING PRACTICE SCHEDULE CHANGE: Juneau has moved to Level 2 COVID-19 Risk Status. With this change, the pools are adjusting their schedules on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Please follow the link below for the new practice schedule. Swimmers are able to use locker rooms, preferable only after practice. Swimmers must exit the facility within 15 minutes of the end of their practice. No practices on Monday, January 18, due to MLK Day. There are a few practice schedule changes, beginning on January 4, 2021. The changes are highlighted below. Coho Tuesday & Thursday practice is extended to 3-4 pm. Sockeye/Sea Lion Tuesday & Thursday practice is moved to 4:15-5:30. Coho, Sockeye, and Sea Lion virtual dryland is canceled. We will include dryland within pool practices. I apologize for all the shedule changes....I promise this is not coming from directly from GSC, but trying to work with CBJ to provide a safe practice environment. The last 30 min of Sea Lion practice will also be dryland. The first 30 minute of Sockeye practice may be dryland. Coho practice will move to the lap pool as much as possible. Olympic swimmer, Rowdy Gaines, was in town last week to speak at the Glacier Valley Rotary Pillars of America speaker series. He took a couple hours out of his busy day in Juneau to practice with Glacier Swim Club. About 60 of our swimmers turned out to swim with Rowdy, talk with him about his life experiences, take pictures and get autographs.
