Yuma HEAT Swimming offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. Groups are divided into 3 areas: Learn to Swim (Pre Comp), Age Group (non-competitive & competitive) and Masters.  Our Age Group swimmers are subdivided into squads (groups) to provide the most effective training and swimmer development and to maximize the potential of each athlete.  Swimmer dues per month are based on the squad and range from $54 to $70 per month.

Yuma HEAT swimming offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. From the youngest beginner & novice swimmers to the collegiate and national level competitors, we focus on age-specific training and multifaceted personal growth within all of our athletes.

Our 6 age group squads – Pre Comp (ages 3 and up), Red, Yellow, Orange, Silver (competitive) & Gold (competitive) – are specifically designed to challenge and develop each individual to his/her fullest potential.   Within the Red, Yellow, Orange, Silver and Gold squads, training groups are subdivided to provide the most effective instruction, learning and swimmer development.

Each swimmer's placement and/or group transition is carefully planned and discussed by coaches.  Our group structures involve progressive exit requirements.  In addition to these objective measurements, the coaching staff considers a number of “intangibles” such as maturity level relative to each individual athlete – the capacity to be successful in each group, swimmer maturity, training presence within current group, meet attendance, practice attendance and general coaching discretion.   All swimmers will be placed into groups that will facilitate both individual development and group success.

Final placement in groups is solely at the discretion of the coaching staff and is ultimately the Head Coaches decision.
