Registration

Online registration for the 2020-2021 USA Swimming year-round season begins the week of August 17, 2020. Click here to register!

Registration is now closed, and our team is currently full. If you would like to be placed on our waiting list, please email Coach Tori.

Every swimmer needs to register online in order to be placed in a practice group.

If a practice group fills up, swimmers will be placed on a waiting list.

Swimmers must choose a USA Swimming membership option during registration: Premium membership or Flex membership.

Premium Membership is designed for the kids who are serious about swimming and love being part of the team. It covers participation is all USA Swimming sanctioned meets from local, state and regional to international levels. In addition, it allows swimmers and their families to unlock all the premium benefits including Splash magazine four times per year, team recognition programs, scholastic recognition programs, access to camps, and so much more. [$100 total registration fee]

Flex Membership is an entry-level membership for kids who are new to the sport and want to experience swimming on a team, giving them time flexibility to still participate in other sports and activities. This membership covers only 2 meets, excluding Regional (Junior Olympics) and State Championships. The Flex Membership can be upgraded to the Premium within the same year. [$45 total registration fee]

If your USA Swimming membership is current (the 2019-2020 membership is current until December 31, 2020), you will pay your registration fee total at renewal time in November.

If you are not currently registered with USA Swimming, you will pay your registration fee total during your first week of practice. If you are new to our team, please also bring a copy of your swimmer's birth certificate during your first week of practice.

About our seasons

Our year is divided in two seasons. The year round USA Swimming season runs from August to the end of March, culminating in Junior Olympics, State Championships, and beyond. Throughout the season our swimmers work in depth on stroke technique, endurance, sprint training, and regularly participate in USA Swimming short course meets.

From April to July we join the Southern Arizona Aquatic Association for a short and fun-filled summer season. During this busy season our swimmers compete in many dual meets and some qualifying invitationals. We finish the season with an exciting two-day Championship and team banquet.

We also offer USA Swimming long course meets for those who desire and qualify to participate during our summer season.

About our practices and groups

All of our groups are currently practicing at least 4 days per week, with many of the groups practicing 5 days per week. We have 3 different general groups that are loosely based on age and more concretely based on the ability levels of the swimmers: 8 years old and under group, 9-12 years old group, and 13+ years old/Senior group. Each group has several levels of ability within, and the groups are divided into smaller groups. The coaches place swimmers in specific groups/lanes based on an evaluation process. Factors like attitude, effort, sportsmanship, work ethic, and commitment often play a roll in the coaches decisions. We currently have 8 practice groups.

We are a team that fosters respect for our coaches, teammates, and competitors. Regardless of ability, we always encourage effort, and we strive to help our swimmers achieve their personal best.
