All JO (Competition) divers must be members of USA Diving
United States Diving is the official member of FINA and the IOC. Competition is at the highest level for opportunities to qualify for the World Compettion and the Olympics.
Groups / Cost
Our divers are grouped in practice by Ability. In addition to pool practice, our athletes also participate in dryland conditioning, tumbling, and dry-board. The dry-board apparatus includes an aerial harness and rigging to support the learning of new dive skills before fully performing the dive in the pool.
Competition groups are based on age and skill level (Novice and Junior Olympic) and age (9&U, 10/11, 12/13, 14/15, 16/18).
Bronze
Strong focus on developing fundamental skills for novice divers to transition to both Novice and Junior Olympic competition level.
Eligibility: Recommend not younger than 8 years, ability to swim 25 yards

Cost: Novice: YMCA Member $80 / NON YMCA Member $115
JO: YMCA Member $90 / NON YMCA Member $130
Training: 3 days/week, Pool and Dryland
Goals: To encourage the learning of fundamental skills and to develop a competition dive list on 1 meter
Silver:
Experienced divers that are preparing for full competition on one and three meter springboard
Eligibility: Must have a competition list on 1 meter and ready to learn 3 meter
Lead Coach: Bill Hunter
Cost: YMCA Member $90 / NON YMCA Member $130
Training: 4 days/week
(JO level divers may be asked to participate in Dive Shows).
Goals: The purpose of this program is to develop strong competitive divers for US Diving and AAU competition, as well as High School. This group receives support for college performance development that can lead to scholarship opportunities. In addition, we continue to emphasize strong academic performance throughout their high school career.
Gold:
Elite and Senior divers preparing to compete at a national level on one and three meter as well as preparing for platform
Eligibility: Must have a competition list on 1meter and 3 meter
Lead Coach: Bill Hunter
Cost: YMCA Member $90 / NON YMCA Member $130
Training: 4 days/week
(All gold divers participate in Dive Shows).
