The Dolphin Swim Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels (children and adults). It is our goal to offer age-specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Learn-to-Swim 1 (LTS1)

Lesson Times: Mon/Wed or Tues/Thur - 4:00pm to 5:00pm

This program is for swimmers new to the water, ages four and up. The student gets comfortable with the water, putting their face in the water, blowing bubbles standing up and laying flat, floating, kicking with and without fins
Swimmers may not spend much time in this group. Once swimmers have attained the necessary skills they are moved to Learn-to-Swim 2.

Learn to Swim 2 (LTS) 

Lesson Times: Mon/Wed/Fri or Tues/Thur/Fri - 4:00pm to 5:00pm

The student learns to develop kick and improve breathing skills. Basic freestyle and backstroke swimming and drills are also learned.  Here the classes are fun and may include games to improve in water coordination.

Improve Your Stroke (IYS)  

Lesson Times: Mon, Tue, Wed and Thur - 4:00 to 5:00pm

Training group is designed to for swimmers who wish to make more of a commitment to the sport of swimming.  Practices are designed to be fun while teaching the fundamentals competitive swimming, including all four competitive strokes, streamlining, racing starts and turns.  Participation in swim meets is encouraged.

Competitive (COM) 12 & under

Practice Times: Mon, Tue, Wed and Thur - 5:00-7:00pm, Fri - 4:00 to 6:00pm, Sat 9:30am to 12noon (except 10 & unders)

Each practice is designed to continue to develop and refine stroke mechanics.  Emphasis is upon stroke and competitive skill development. Land training is also part of the practice schedule to further develop strength and fitness. Practice procedures, such as using a pace clock, and workout skills and knowledge are a major goal. A high priority is given to a strong knowledge foundation for future development.  Meet participation is also highly encouraged.  

Competitive (COM) 13 & over

Practice Times: Mon, Tue, Wed and Thur - 5:00-7:00pm, Fri - 4:00 to 6:00pm, Sat 9:30am to 12noon

Morning practice times will be determined by the coach.


Registration Fee (annual Club and Bahamas Swimming Federation fees) - $60

LTS1 - $200 (10 weeks)

LTS2 - $225 per term

IYS - $250 per term

COM (12 & under) - $275 per term

COM (13 & over) - $300 per term

Cash and credit cards preferred.

What to Wear

Only proper swimsuits allowed in the pool. No t-shirts, cotton tights etc.
