Swim South Bay is EXCITED for the upcoming summer and looks to have many different programs for all water lovers in your family!

 

SWIM TEAM

Our seasonal "Summer Race Team" will run from 6/13-7/24 with registration opening April 1.  We will have morning and afternoon classes available to suit all different family schedules.  Our summer program will include fun team events and mini meets.  Off-site, weekend meets will also be available. To be eligible for this program, swimmers must be able to swim one lap of freestyle with side breathing and backstroke on the back (25 yards, no time requirement.) They should be comfortable in deep water, not need to touch the walls or lanelines to get across. Swim shirts and dresses are not allowed. Swimmers MUST be in swim suits (board shorts allowed for boys, but not recommended.)

 

SWIM LESSONS

Private, one-on-one classes will be held at microsites around the community.  With lessons for members only at San Jose Swim & Racquet Club, we will also have mobile lessons (where our instructors come straight to YOU), classes at our Endless Pool and lessons open to the public at local school pools (Hoover, Willow Woods and Willow Glen High School.)  Registration will open March 1.

 

SWIM CAMP

New this summer, BAY will be hosting some weekly M-Th swim camps.  It's a crash course in swim team, breaking down the basics of each stroke, fine tuning all the details and refining our swimmer's skills.  Great for beginners through advanced swimmers entering grades 1-9 in the Fall. (Swimmers should be "swim team eligible", meaning 25 yards of freestyle with side breathing and backstroke on their back, comfortable in deep water and not need to touch the walls, lane line or side of hte pool to get across.)
