LMR championship(East) Recap

By Kyle Cheng
During February 15 and 16, we had 54 athletes represent our club at the Lower Mainland Regionals Championships (LMR Championships) and had a great success. Over the weekend, our swimmers swam 317 individual events and 10 relay teams. It was a very long weekend as it was the first ever LMR Champs held in a Prelim and Finals format. But our swimmers conquered their fatigue and perform extraordinary well!
Together, our individual events brought back 10 Golds, 9 Silvers, and 11 Bronze with 61 events making it to finals (top 8 swimmers at the meet). In relays, we brought back 1 Gold, 2 Silvers, and 4 Bronzes.
In addition to our medal counts, there was a lot of personal bests and a lot of standards made during the meet! It was an amazing meet and our coaching staff is very proud of the achievements we have made. We strive to make even better results at the next LMR Championships. Until then, keep on training hard everyone!
