By Anchie Xu On December 13-15, 2019, Richmond Rapids hosted the FastMeet at Watermania pool. We had 23 swimmers from Elite A/B, and Age A participated in this meet. This is the semi-peak swim meet of the first training cycle. Our team did a fantastic job by achieved 96 best times, and qualified 18 new Age group and Provincial standards. By Agatha Leung On Sunday, December 15th, our developmental groups attended the CDSC Pass Meet at Vancouver Aquatic Swimmers. The swimmers got their feet wet in the competitive swimming world and they had a blast competing with other swimmers from different clubs. By Jennifer Zhao On Dec 7th Gold, Age, and Seniors attended Spartan’s meet in Chilliwack. Despite the long drive we had a great turn out of 23 Gators! The swimmers brought their best performance, achieving 40+ best times all together! The coaches are proud of all our athletes. The excitement for competing and strong work ethic the swimmers brought to the meet was a great way to end off the year. By Kyle Cheng On Dec 1st, our club attended the Delta Sungod Distance meet. It was our first ever distance meet as a club. We had 38 swimmers who represented our club. These swimmers swam either 400, 800, or 1500m freestyle. For a lot of our swimmers it was their first time swimming such a large distance. On Saturday, November 2, Elite and Senior swimmers had a rock climbing at Cliffhanger. It was an excellent opportunity for team collaboration and team bonding. The team members also had a good training to build physical strength. We all had fun!
