Chena/Gators LMR recap By Agatha Leung, On March 11th and 12th, 56 Gators attended the Chena/Gators LMR at Harry Jerome Recreation Centre. This was the first meet that we hosted this season, and we successfully brought together several other clubs for this two-day meet. High energy was displayed as Gators cheered on each other during individual events and relays. By Anchie Xu, The 2023 Swim BC Winter Provincial Championship was hosted by Island Swim Club at Saannish Commonwealth Place in Victoria on March 2-5. There were 593 athletes from 42 swim teams who raced at this meet. Even it was tiring late afternoon development meet, all swimmers showed great result. For some swimmers, this was their first time experiencing a multi-club swim meet. On February 12, the Gator Swim Club held its mid-season time trial. The day kicked off with the 200 IM event, where 8 swimmers qualified for the Lower Mainland Regionals (LMR). The rest of the events saw many swimmers setting new personal best times, demonstrating our teams’ constant improvement. Throughout the time trial, the swimmers were able to support each other and gain valuable experience by observing faster swimmers. By Anchie Xu On March 17 to 19, Twenty-Six swimmers from Elite A/B, Senior and Age represented Gators attended the 2023 Winter Divisional Championship Fraser&Vancouver division with 13 swim teams total of 348 swimmers. This meet was the peak performance meet for the first training cycle. With the preliminaries and finals meet format, some swimmers had more than 6 races each day. By Agatha Leung On January 28th and 29th, 43 Elite, Senior and some Age group swimmers attended LMR Champs at Watermania. Even after a tiring three-day meet last week, all swimmers were able to perform incredibly well. Of 242 events swam, our swimmers achieved a whopping 157 new best times. For many of these events, swimmers had very limited rest in between races. Nonetheless, they swam to the best of their abilities and their hard work paid off. By Octavian R. On Saturday and Sunday, January 28 - 29, 2023, 14 Gators Swimmers from Age, Gold, Silver and Alligator attended Chena 12 & Under Swim Meet. Two days of great swim meet for all young Gators swimmers. Although, there is no new LMR qualified this time but they showed good result and dropped in their individual timing in multiple events. Most of our swimmers swam 4 individual events and relay events. Some of them also brought the Bellringer Prize from Chena and they loved it. Great job team...

Friday morning, the team began the journey with the 800 FR and 1500 FR races, where the swimmers from Elite group had good results.
